Choose your system

No account and no uploading your lists. The app data stays in its folder on your computer.

WINDOWS

Portable version

Download, unpack and run. No installer or account is needed.

Extract the downloaded archive into a new folder.
Open the FlashCardShaker folder.
Run FlashCardShaker.exe.

Important: keep the complete folder. The EXE alone will not work without _internal. Your lists are stored in data/db.sql.

LINUX

Portable AppImage (64-bit)

A single-file build for 64-bit Linux. Download and run it without an installer.

Download for Linux

Make it executable: chmod +x FlashCardShaker-Linux_v2-x86_64.AppImage
Run: ./FlashCardShaker-Linux_v2-x86_64.AppImage
Next time, you can open the file directly from your file manager.

Portable data: lists and settings are stored in FlashCardShaker-data next to the AppImage. Move that folder together with the app. Some distributions may require the libfuse2 package.

Update without losing your lists

Before replacing the app, copy data/db.sql. Put it back into the new version's data folder.
